The BUCK INSTITUTE

The Buck Institute and the Glenn Foundation have partnered to establish the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research at the Buck Institute.

At any given time, the Glenn Center at Buck supports six Internal Research Projects focused on discovering mechanisms of aging and their connections to chronic age-related conditions. These Internal Research Projects are interdisciplinary collaborations between at least two laboratories in the Center aimed at solving specific problems in research in aging and training talented postdoctoral fellows to become future leaders in the field.

In addition, the Glenn Center at Buck supports up to seven Innovation Awards each year to launch exciting new collaborative projects between at least two Buck Institute faculty members.

The Glenn Center at Buck also sponsors the annual Glenn-Campisi Symposium on the Biology of Aging in honor of Dr. Judy Campisi, a pioneer in the fields of aging and senescence and a longtime faculty member at the Buck Institute.
